Protection in your account

Which tools sit in my account?

You will know which limit or reminder to switch on and what it does for your play.

What can come in?
You decide, before a session, how much can move into your balance. Switch it on when a night out could slide past what you planned to spend.
How much can go out?
This caps how much of your own money can go in a session, so a rough run has a floor. Set it when losses tend to pull you deeper than expected.
Switch on time reminders
A quiet message appears while you play and tells you how long you have been in. Turn it on if time tends to vanish when the reels keep turning.
A pause, or a closed door
Closing the door for a while is heavier than a pause and stays shut on your own account. Choose it when a break needs to be firm rather than flexible.
Numbers in plain sight
A short notice shows your session length and what you have spent so far. Use it when you want the numbers in front of you instead of guessing.
Your own setting

Set a limit in four short steps

Nothing here is pushed on you; the controls are yours to set at your own pace.

Signing in first
Sign in with your email address and open your profile area. Check that your details still match the ones you registered with.
Find the tab
Look for the responsible gambling tab inside settings. Everything below lives there, in one place rather than spread across the site.
Pick your limit
Choose deposit, loss or session time, then pick a level that fits what you can comfortably spend. Decide this before you play, not mid-session.
Seeing it on screen
Save the change and reopen the panel to see the figure sitting there. If it looks wrong, our team on live chat can check it with you.

When the account holder is not the only one at home

Age checked before the first spin. Nobody under 18 can register, and each player is allowed one account only. Photo proof of identity, address and payment method is checked before the first withdrawal is released.

Could the whole house be covered? Gambling sites can be filtered at router level so every phone and laptop at home is covered, not just one device. A household member then needs no technical knowledge to keep it working.

What listening first can change. Approaching this without judgement usually keeps the conversation going longer than an ultimatum. The National Gambling Helpline on 1800 858 858 advises relatives too, free of charge, around the clock.

Clarity before the next deposit

Catching these signs early keeps the choice in your hands. A deposit limit set tonight, or a short pause, is a practical first step rather than a verdict about who you are.

None of these is unusual on its own, and noticing one is not a diagnosis.

  • Playing longer than you planned, most sessions
  • Chasing a loss with a bigger deposit
  • Thinking about the next session at work
  • Borrowing money to keep playing
  • Hiding your play from someone close
  • Feeling flat or tense when you cannot play
  • Spending money set aside for bills
Outside help

Speaking to someone today

You will have three services noted, all free, all confidential, and ready when you are

National Gambling Helpline
Counselling by phone, online chat or email, around the clock every day of the year, free of charge. Players and family members can reach it, and it also points to local services near you. 1800 858 858 gamblinghelponline.org.au
Gamblers Anonymous Australia
Peer support meetings across Australia, where people who gamble and their relatives talk openly with others in the same position. Meetings are free and run by members, and anyone affected is welcome. gaaustralia.org.au
National Debt Helpline
Free financial counselling for debts that build up from gambling, for players and for partners or family. Reach it on weekdays during business hours, and the conversation stays confidential. ndh.org.au

When a short rest is not enough

Hours off, not months. A time-out stops play for hours or days without closing anything. You choose the length in your account settings before you play, and access returns on its own once the period ends. No new bets can be placed while it runs.

Who can undo this? This closes your access to play for a long period, and it cannot be lifted early by a request. Start it from the account tools whenever you decide, and it will stay in place for the full term you set.

BetStop, the national register. BetStop is the national self-exclusion register run by the Australian Government through ACMA. A registration runs at least three months and can reach a lifetime, and you apply online in about five minutes, with the option to name a support person. betstop.gov.au

Steady Ground

When you want the numbers to hold

Calm answers to the things players here ask us most often, before and after a limit is in place.

My brother plays too much, can I call the helpline for advice?+
You can. The National Gambling Helpline on 1800 858 858 takes calls from family members as well as players, any hour of any day, and its counsellors can talk through what you are noticing and what support exists near you. Gamblers Anonymous Australia also runs meetings for the people affected.
Can I end a self-exclusion before the period I chose is over?+
No. A self-exclusion at Voom Casino runs for the whole period you selected, and it cannot be lifted partway through at your request. That fixed length is the point of it, so choose a span that matches what you actually need.
Will a self-exclusion here stop me playing at other casinos too?+
No, it covers your Voom Casino account only. A block across providers comes from BetStop, the Australian national self-exclusion register run by ACMA, which you join separately. Registered people cannot bet or open accounts with licensed online and phone wagering providers.
Where do I change a deposit limit I set last month?+
In the same place you set it: the responsible gambling section of your account, under deposit limits. Your new figure replaces the old one from there, and you can adjust loss limits alongside it in the same screen.
If I take a short pause, what changes in my account?+
A pause shuts you out of play for the breaker you choose while your balance, history and login stay as they are. Once the chosen time runs out, your account opens again without you having to ask anyone. Self-exclusion is the longer, firmer version.
How do I close my Voom Casino account for good?+
Write to [email protected] from your registered email address and ask for permanent closure. Our team replies around the clock and confirms when the account is shut, so keep the reply for your records.
